World of Warcraft: Forever · class guide
Restoration Shaman
Healer
Healing Wave for single targets,
Chain Heal for groups from 40,
Riptide into Chain Heal at 40. Rated A or better as a healer.
Restoration heals with Healing Wave (made faster by
Improved Healing Wave and stronger by
Healing Way) and
Lesser Healing Wave when speed matters. From 40, Chain Heal heals three party members, and Riptide is an instant heal with a heal over time that makes your Chain Heals on that target 25% stronger. Mana comes from
Mindfulness (half your regeneration keeps going while you cast),
Water Shield (2% of your mana per globe when you are hit or crit a heal), Mana Spring and, from 25,
Mana Tide Totem.
Nature's Swiftness makes a big heal instant once every 3 minutes. Before 40 it is a Healing Wave healer with weak solo damage.
Strengths and weaknesses
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| Weak solo damage before 40 | |
| No curse removal and no friendly magic dispel | |
| Healer threat falls on the Shaman, and | |

Stat priority
- Healing power
- Critical strike
- Intellect
- Spirit
- MP5
- Stamina
Healing, then crit (
Water Shield globes and
Ancestral Healing feed on crits, and
Riptide can crit), Intellect, Spirit, MP5, Stamina. At level 30: healing and spell power above everything, then Intellect for the pool and Spirit for what comes back between fights. Healing gear also gives a third of its bonus as spell damage, so Restoration can quest in it.
Do this
Healing Way is now a flat 25% on
Healing Wave: no need to keep stacking it on the tank.- Watch
Water Shield's globes as well as its 10-minute duration; refresh it between pulls. - Start
Chain Heal where the injured players stand together, not on an isolated player for the
Riptide bonus. - Cast
Chain Heal on a party member and it only jumps to party members.
Watch out for
- Downranked heals far below your level get less from healing power: pick ranks by their real heal.
Riptide needs
Healing Way 3/3 first; Mana Tide no longer needs
Restorative Totems.- No curse removal and no friendly magic dispel: a
Mage or
Druid covers curses, a
Priest or
Paladin magic. - Healer threat is yours: Tranquil Air Totem is gone in Forever, so take
Natural Grace if you pull aggro.
